On January 26, 2008, 23-year-old Dane Williams, an employee of Hurley International, attended a convention at the San Diego Convention Center. He was last seen at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning leaving a Gaslamp area bar.
On January 29, 2008, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a citizen saw a body lying in the North alley of 5200 Landis Street. The body was later identified as Dane Williams. The cause and manner of Williams’ death is still undetermined.
In addition to the $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers, Jack's Surfboards is offering up to $9,000 and Hurley International is offering up to $10,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest.

On January 23, Mimi Rohwer was found strangled in her San Marcos mobile home.
Her roommate Julio Cesar Jacobo-Curiel is a suspect in the case. He was last seen leaving the Casitas del Sol mobile home park on Barham Drive. Jacobo-Curiel is a 57-year-old hispanic male, 5'4", 175 lbs.

On January 19, 2007, at about 6:30 p.m., 16-year-old Romel Velarde was shot and killed in front of his house. Velarde was standing in his driveway located in the 2300 block of East Division Street in National City. Two unidentified males were seen running from the area.
A brown van or sports utility vehicle was seen driving away from the area immediately after the murder.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.

On March 18-19, 2007, unknown suspects set fire to the Personnel Support Detachment Afloat Building 119, NavBase San Diego.
NCIS and San Diego County Crime Stoppers are asking anyone with information on who set this fire to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line.

On July 26, 2007 at about 10:30 pm Kimo Muronaga was shot and killed while walking from his home to his job at a print shop in the Mountainview neighborhood of San Diego.
Kimo noticed a suspicious looking vehicle pulling over and someone get out of the car. Fearing for his safety, he ran--Kimo was shot as he fled on Imperial and 36th Street.

On August 3, 2007 at about 2 am a BMW and a pickup truck were driving at a high rate of speed at 4700 Fairmount Avenue.
After the two vehicles crashed the driver of the truck left the scene of the collision. Catalan is wanted by the San Diego Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit for two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
There were three occupants in the BMW; Joshua Spears and Ryan Zelman died in the crash and one other victim was seriously injured and is still in the hospital.

On Monday, November 5 at 5:51 pm, Anthony Hawkins was shot and killed at the Exxon Station on Euclid & Geneva. Hawkins was shot multiple times and died of his injuries.

On Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at about 2:30 am, Damon Green was shot and killed while at Donuts Plus at 4090 El Cajon Blvd. Prior to the shooting, Green and the two suspects exchanged words at the Rolberto's Taco Shop next door.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic/ Puerto Rican male with a round chubby face, early 20’s, approximately 5’8, 220 lbs, with facial hair, which has been described as a thin goatee and/or a chin strap style. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved light colored shirt/jacket, shorts and a dark colored baseball hat turned sideways.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male, early 20’s, approximately 5’8, 200 lbs with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing an oversized, short sleeved, horizontally striped shirt and dark pants/jeans.
Both suspects were last seen leaving the area going northbound on 41st Street.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.

On June 2, 2007, at about 1:00 a.m., two men argued while on the dance floor of Johnny V's located at 945 Garnet Avenue. During the argument, the suspect threw a glass bottle into the victim's face. After striking the victim, the suspect stood back and taunted him until two women he arrived with rushed him out of the bar. The victim sustained serious injuries.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between twenty-one and twenty five years old, 5'6" to 5'8" tall and between 150 and 160 pounds. He had dark brown or black short spiky hair and long sideburns. The suspect was wearing a light colored button down shirt with blue jeans. He was in the company of two women, both in their twenties with long blond hair. |

Ron Harnish Murder |

On December 27, 2006 Ron Harnish and two friends were driving on the 1100 block of 31st Street. The men stopped and exited their car and had a confrontation with two hispanic males who were standing on the sidewalk. One of the hispanic males fired shots injurying one man and killing Ron Harnish. The suspects fled the scene.
The San Diego Police Department is looking for information on the suspect responsible for this homicide. In addition to the $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers, Ron Harnish's family is offering $4,500 for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime. |

On Tuesday, March 14, 2006, Jane Kling was last seen in the U.S. at a grocery store in Oceanside, CA. Jane's body was dicovered 10 days later on March 24, 2006 near San Felipe, Mexico. Jane was found near her green mini van which was stuck in the sand. Investigators believe Jane's body may have been there for up to five days.
Jane was seen with a heavyset woman who spoke English at the Hotel Costa Azul in San Felipe. A sketch is of the woman shown above.

On November 23, 2007, Francisco Miranda was shot and killed in the 3000 block of Main Street in Chula Vista. A second victim, Jose Rodriguez, was shot and killed about 30 minutes earlier in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue in Chula Vista. Detectives believe both shootings were done by the same suspect.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.

On April 30, 2006, at about 9:20 pm, the above pictured man shot and killed Yassir Amaraut at the "Jack in the Box" restaurant located at 2404 Market Street, in San Diego.

Detectives said the Chicken of the Sea International office building on Scranton Rd. was intentionally set on fire twice in the last four months. The first arson occurred on October 17, 2006 sometime after 8:00pm.
The second arson occurred on January 2, 2007 sometime after 7:00pm. Nobody was injured in either incident. The property damage is estimated at a combined $750,000.

On Tuesday February 6, 2007, a home-invasion robbery occurred at the Ernest and Evelyn Rady residence in La Jolla. Mr. Rady was shot by the suspect with a black taser gun. The suspect also tied up Mrs. Rady and their housekeeper while he ransacked the house; he got away with an undisclosed, but not large, amount of cash.The suspect is described as Middle Eastern or hispanic in his 30's to 40's. He is approximately 5'8" tall and 165 lbs with a medium to muscular build. He was unshaven, had shiny black hair (which may have been a wig) and wore gold stud earrings in both ears.

Detectives said a $500,000 warrant has been issued by the San Diego Superior Court charging Miguel Cabellero Madriz with felony sexual assault. Madriz has been working as a youth club soccer coach in San Diego. Madriz is accused of sexually assaulting one of his former youth soccer players.
Madriz is a 43-year-old Hispanic male, 5'10" tall, 180 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

On November 23, 2007, Jose Rodriguez was shot and killed in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue in Chula Vista. A second victim, Francisco Miranda, was shot and killed about 30 minutes later in the 3000 block of Main Street in Chula Vista. Detectives believe both shootings were done by the same suspect.
In addition to the $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers, The Governor's office is offering $50,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.

On Saturday, September 1, 2001, Dr. Gladys Conrad was found dead in a retirement home located in Carlsbad, CA. An autopsy determined that Dr. Conrad had been sexually assaulted and strangled to death. It is estimated that Dr. Conrad was murdered between 10 p.m. on Friday night and 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.

On New Years Day, 2003, at about 1:00 am, Sharen, Carol, and their niece and nephew (ages 3 & 6) left church services and stopped by Dr. J's Liquor store at 5080 Logan Avenue.
In a case of what may have been mistaken identity, unknown suspects open fired, riddling their car with bullets. Both Sharen and Carol were killed; the 6-year old was critically wounded as he covered the 3-year-old in the car seat.
Fortunately the 6-year-old recovered from his wounds.

Jeremy Lindsay Murder |

On June 6, 2003, 22-year-old Jeremy Lindsay attended the KGB Sky Show at Qualcomm Stadium. At about 9:15 p.m. Jeremy was confronted by a large group of men between sections A2-A4 in the stadium parking lot.
An argument erupted and the group of men attacked Jeremy. Jeremy sustained multiple head injuries from the attack and later died from his injuries. |

On 9/8/2000, Andrew Moore, a City College student, was murdered in his apartment on 8th Avenue in San Diego. As part of the crime, his 1994 Suzuki Katana motorcycle was stolen. The motorcycle was recovered on 10/17/2000, in the 1100 block of 24th Street.

On January 31, 2000, at about 10:20 pm, Miguel Castro was shot and killed in front of the apartment complex located at 451 E. Mission Avenue in Escondido. Witnesses reported seeing a white 4-door Honda or Toyota at the corner of Hickory Avenue and Mission Avenue with three to four suspects inside the vehicle.

On January 28, 2001, at about 7:00 pm, Alex Ceballos was in his car in the 900 block of Merlin Drive in San Diego. Ceballos was parked waiting for his friend who was visiting his girlfriend. Two young Hispanic males came running (and shooting) after his friend as he left his girlfriends house. His friend jumped in Alex's car and Ceballos was shot and killed as they attempted to drive away.
The suspects were last seen running Southbound on 60th Street from Merlin Drive.

Mid City Division is experiencing a series of commercial burglaries in the City Heights area.In most cases the crimes occur at night; the loss includes cash, phone cards, lottery tickets and cell phones.
The two videos listed above show two male suspects, speaking in spanish, burglarizing one of the stores.
