On October 25, San Diego County Crime Stoppers will host its 22th Annual “Light the Night Against Crime” 5k Run/Walk at Balboa Park. Registration begins at 5:00 pm. This event is a fun, family-friendly evening featuring a costume contest, band and pre- and post-race festivities. It’s a great opportunity for families to come out together and enjoy an evening in the park.
Law enforcement agencies from around the county have teams participating, including the San Diego Police Department, San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the Border Patrol, Harbor Police, La Mesa Police Department and many more.
Proceeds from the event fund Crime Stoppers felony reward program and community outreach activities. Each participant will get a long-sleeved, glow-in-the dark t-shirt.
