The FBI, San Diego Police Department, San Diego Sheriff’s Department, and Escondido Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male believed responsible for robbing 10 San Diego County banks since May 2010. Investigators have dubbed this bank robber the “Well Dressed Bandit.”
The latest robbery in this series occurred today with the robbery of the Chase Bank, located at 9450 Scranton Road, San Diego, California. At approximately, 5:45 p.m. the suspect entered the Chase Bank, located at 9450 Scranton Road, San Diego, California. The suspect approached a teller, simulated a weapon and demanded cash. The teller complied with the suspect’s demand. Upon receiving a sum of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot. Witnesses stated the suspect was observed entering a black Lexus or Mercedes Benz. This is the third time the suspect is believed to have robbed this bank.

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male dubbed the “Mr. Magoo Bandit” believed responsible for robbing five San Diego banks since November 2010.
The latest robbery in this series occurred on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at approximately 4:15 p.m., with the robbery of the US Bank, located at 1331 Rosecrans, San Diego, California. It is believed the suspect robbed this same bank on July 12, 2011. During the latest robbery, the suspect entered the bank and walked over to the customer service desk in the lobby area. The suspect then approached the victim teller and placed a demand note on the counter. The note advised that the teller was being robbed and demanded money. The victim teller complied with the robber’s demand and provided a sum of money. After receiving the money, the suspect walked out of the bank.
The “Mr. Magoo Bandit” is believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies:

The FBI and Chula Vista Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male who tried to rob a teller at the North Island Credit Union, 45 North Broadway, Suite A, Chula Vista, California, on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
On Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at approximately 12:20 p.m. an unknown male entered the North Island Credit Union, 45 North Broadway, Suite A, Chula Vista, California. The suspect entered the credit union lobby and walked up to a teller window. The teller asked the suspect if he needed help. The suspect told the teller he would be right back and left the credit union.
A short time later the suspect returned and entered the teller line once again. The suspect was called to a teller window. Upon arriving at the teller window, the suspect held up a small white piece of paper demanding money in specific denominations. The teller was confused as to what the suspect was trying to do and questioned the suspect’s intent. The suspect made a verbal demand to the teller at which time the teller walked away from the teller window. The suspect then ran out the emergency exit of the bank and fled in an east bound direction. The suspect did not receive any money. |

The FBI and Oceanside Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify three unknown males responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank, 2701 Vista Way, Oceanside, California, on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at approximately 10:30 a.m. the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 2701 Vista Way, Oceanside, California, was robbed by three unknown males. At the time of the robbery, the three men entered the bank and yelled their intentions to rob the bank. Robber number one stood in the lobby yelling instructions to bank employees and customers to get down on the floor. The other two robbers jumped over the counter and proceeded to take money from two teller cash drawers. One of the robbers who jumped over the counter was believed to be armed with a handgun that was in his waistband.
After taking money from the two teller cash drawers the two robbers ran around the counter towards the bank lobby and all three robbers ran out of the bank. The robbery lasted approximately one minute. All three robbers wore masks gloves, dark pants, tennis shoes, dark and dark or gray jackets. No physical injuries were reported at the time of the robbery. |

The FBI and local law enforcement are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male believed responsible for robbing two banks within the last ten days. The suspect is believed to be responsible for the Friday, June 3, 2011, robbery of the US Bank, inside of the Albertsons grocery store, 3925 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, California, and today’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, inside of the Food 4 Less grocery store, 500 Hacienda Drive, Vista, California.
In both robberies the suspect waited in line until called to the teller station. Once at the teller station he presents a demand note for cash and threatens to possess a weapon. Upon receiving money from the teller he walks in the direction of the grocery store exit doors. |

At the time of the robbery, the robber walked into the bank, and waited in line until called by the victim teller. Once at the counter, the robber produced a written demand note for cash. The robber also made a verbal demand for money. The victim teller provided the robber a sum of money. The robber was last seen with a Black male who was wearing a gray shirt, tan shorts, and white shoes with black laces. Both males were seen running across the street towards the Game Stop store and jumped into a black vehicle that left north bound towards Aero Drive. |

On 04-20-11, a white male adult walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 13439 Camino Canada, El Cajon. He placed bag on the counter in front of the bank teller. He demanded she open the bottom drawer and to give him the money from inside the drawer. While she was complying with his demand, the suspect placed his hand into his pocket as if he had a gun. The suspect then stepped to the next bank teller and made the same demand as the first teller. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and fled on foot. No weapon was seen. Deputies set up a perimeter and found evidence from the robbery but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male adult, wearing a blonde wig, mid 30's, 6' 00", 200 - 250 lbs.

The teller provided the robber a sum of money which the robber placed inside of a black laptop bag. No weapon was observed and no injuries reported.
